What you are actually buying.
Content inventory and platform benchmarking
Spektra reviews existing content and compares performance across platforms to identify gaps.
Competitor and creator mapping
The team maps the competitors and creators drawing attention in your category and the formats they use.
Audience behaviour and opportunities
Spektra examines audience behaviour and uneven attention across topics to identify opportunities worth testing.
Narrative pillars and audience questions
The team defines the recurring themes and questions your content needs to answer for each audience.
Source-asset map and angle library
Spektra connects each proposed angle to material that can support it, including demonstrations, explanation and proof.
Format roles and launch themes
The team gives each format a purpose and connects launch themes to the wider narrative.
Producing more content does not settle what the content should say. This service settles it: which audience, which question, which angle, before anything is filmed or posted.
How it fits the system
This is the planning stage of Distribution Engineering. The first thing a Distribution Blueprint hands over is a direction for what to say and to whom. Research and strategy develop that direction into a plan the team can act on.
It gives Content systems the source material, angles and format roles to use in production. It gives Audience intelligence the hypotheses and agreed measures to assess once the programme is running.
What you get
The research ties what audiences already do to what you say. Every angle on the list has a reason to be tested and material behind it. The strategy then puts them in order: what to explain first, to whom, and what response would earn a second round.
Spektra keeps observation and proposal apart. A competitor's format that works is a reason to test, not proof it will work for you. The plan says which of its assumptions are still untested.
What a first engagement looks like
Start with the Distribution Blueprint: a seven-day diagnostic for a fixed fee of $5,000. Bring the commercial objective, existing material and access to the evidence behind your current distribution. A named decision owner helps resolve questions about the product, audience and claims.
The Blueprint provides the initial diagnosis and priorities within a 90-day plan. Any deeper research and narrative work is scoped from those findings. You can take the plan forward internally, with another partner or with Spektra.
FAQ
Do we need a live distribution programme first?
No. This work uses public and client-supplied evidence to inform the decisions that come before production and distribution. Spektra needs a valuable source asset and an objective to guide the research. Reporting on a programme already in progress belongs to Audience intelligence.
Does this replace our existing positioning?
Spektra uses your positioning and approved claims as inputs. The work decides which audience questions, explanations and demonstrations to test in distribution. If the research exposes a strategic question the company has not resolved, the team puts it to your decision owner before using it in content.
Are production and publishing included?
They are scoped separately. This service hands over the research and narrative decisions that guide them. Spektra does not buy or run paid media, and a strategy does not guarantee reach, views, leads or revenue.
You will recognise at least one of these.
- Content performs well on one platform but poorly elsewhere
- A team needs better market awareness before deciding where to focus
- A valuable product is hard to explain
- Messaging changes across channels or lacks a recognisable point of view
One objective, one primary measure.
Evidence coverage, message clarity and testable opportunities establish the value of the research. Once distribution begins, branded search, site traffic and demo requests can indicate intent where tracked. They do not establish revenue or causation.

Reach is reported as reach, never as revenue.
