Owned audience

An owned audience is the following an organisation keeps, and can reach again without paying twice.

Rented reach ends when the spend ends. An owned audience does not. That difference is the reason the system is built rather than bought.

Owned does not mean captive. People leave, feeds change, and no following is permanent. It means the next thing you make starts from a base rather than from zero.

Why this is the compounding metric

Views measure one moment. An owned audience measures what the moments left behind. Two systems can produce identical view counts while only one raises the floor for everything that follows.

Spektra reads that floor directly. Baseline reach this quarter against last quarter is a harder number than any single result. It also shows whether the system is accumulating.

Where it sits in the ladder

It is one rung of several. Reach shows something was seen. Response shows it landed. Audience growth shows it stayed. Business results sit above all three. Spektra never presents reach on its own as proof of revenue.

Not the same as a reach delivery range

A reach delivery range describes what one period of distribution is expected to deliver. An owned audience is what remains once that period is over.
